Construction of a dance classroom

This project is based on the construction of a dance classroom at the Music Crossroads in Malawi (MCM). In MCM, dance classes are usually held in the courtyard, where heavy sand and dust are raised, putting the health of children and teachers at risk. The building of this classroom will have a capacity of 40 students.

The development of this project implies that:

• Children take dance classes in a safe and dynamic space.
• There is an improvement in the skills and performances of the MCM students.
• It increases the self-esteem and well-being of the students.
• Folk dances can still be rehearsed, with proper quality in the infrastructure.

This project allows Music Crossroads-Malawi to rent space to secure their own funding, thus facilitating their organization a self-financing network and ongoing non-dependence on international and local institutions.
