Donation of 3,400 masks
from the Robin Mask company
Malawi has been totally affected by COVID-19, as this pandemic has aggravated many of the existing problems and has ended up collapsing the existing system. It has had a strong impact on a system and a situation that is already deficient, having a greater impact on the most vulnerable population. Most Malawians live on a daily wage and the economic decline as a result of the pandemic has affected the ability of Malawian citizens to make ends meet.
In addition, many of the children, young people and families of Malawi do not have access to the purchase of masks, being totally unprotected and at constant risk of contagion. For this reason, it has been essential to support our partner, Music Crossroads Malawi, to combat COVID-19, by strengthening their safety and protection of children in Area 23 in Lilongwe, Malawi.
The company Robin Mask has given us 3,400 reusable cloth masks for the children and young people of Malawi. This donation will enable Music Crossroads Malawi to protect its students and children at Mlodza School. This Tuesday, March 16, 2021, the counterpart team has received all the masks and will shortly distribute them among their students and boys and girls from the Mlodza primary school. Specifically, they have distributed 1,000 masks among the students of the Mlodza primary school located in Area 23 of Lilongwe (Malawi).
